Wrexham's Libraries are Buzzing!

Pollinators provide an estimated £430 million per year to the UK economy. To help conserve the declining numbers of bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects and their habitats, Gwersyllt library is 1 of 8 north Wales libraries transforming their grounds into wildlife friendly zones. With the help of funding and contributions from external organisations (listed below), the green-fingered 1st Gwersyllt Scout Group, Wrexham libraries staff and North Wales Libraries Partnership (NWLP) staff, created a wildflower bed and caterpillar café to provide nectar, food and shelter for pollinators and other wildlife all year round.
